This fun-loving family enjoys sporting events, being outdoors, traveling, and trying new things. They are welcoming their second child, a girl, in November and very excited to promote their 4.5 year old boy to big bother! They love all holidays and any chance to spend time with family and friends! As an outgoing crew, they love to stay busy and entertain. They are direct and caring in their communication style and appreciate honesty above all else. Having had a nanny before, they are not strangers to what the dynamic looks like and are excited to welcome someone new into their crew who will treasure their children and ensure they feel loved and supported every day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Primarily caring for the family’s infant daughter (~3 months around start date) but also caring for B4.5 in the afternoons and if working later on a weeknight or weekend. Summer and school breaks will also include childcare for B4.5 if he isn’t in a camp.
2. Valuing structure and carrying out routines, schedules, and preferences that the family has already established. They were very schedule oriented with their first child during the baby-stages and wish to apply those some methods with their daughter as well, teaching independence early on and developing strong sleep habits.
3. Working collaboratively with the parents while also taking initiative with routine responsibilities. Mom and dad both work in and out of the home and mom especially will want snuggle time or to give GNB a bottle when she can.
4. Tracking baby’s daily activity and working with her on reaching developmental milestones.
5. When age appropriate, taking the baby on outings to story times, classes, nanny groups, or playdates. Taking B4.5 on outings, to playdates or to enriching activities when in nanny’s care.
6. Take accountability and initiative with all child-related tasks including washing kid’s dishes, kid’s laundry, maintaining stock of children’s essentials, clothing rotations, keeping toys and kid’s rooms tidy and organized, cleaning up child-related messes, keeping children’s items clean and in good shape, etc.
7. Flexibility to help with ad-hoc duties such as an errand, meeting a vendor at the home, bringing in a package, etc.
8. Swimming supervision for their 4.5 yo and eventually for the baby.
9. Taking pride in helping raise the children by encouraging politeness and manners, trying new things, being adventurous, and showing up with integrity. They have a motto in their family of "I can do hard things" and to always try your best. Failing forward is a good thing, and a learning opportunity.
10. Have strong integrity and value honesty.
11. Travel with the family both domestic and potentially abroad.
12. Adjust the working schedule for a few weeks out of the first year when mom uses her extended parental leave. This may be a schedule that is shifted later in the day some days or includes swapping out a weekday for a weekend day.
