CARING, ENTHUSIASTIC + ACTIVE FULL TIME LIVE-IN NANNY FOR FAMILY OF 5

LV540

Location: Brentwood, TN 37027 (Old Hickory + Granny White Pike)
Pets: The family has no pets and cannot accommodate a pet in their home at this time

This loving and intentional family of five is ready to welcome a supportive “third parent” into their busy lifestyle to help with their three children, B5, G4, and BNB. Both parents work demanding jobs within global companies but cherish spending distraction-free time with their three children given their work from home capabilities. While they already have a dependable afternoon nanny to tackle the afternoon logistics with the older kids, they are seeking an integral member of their parenting team who will be there full time and allow their worlds to keep turning. This is a family of high integrity who channel their passion and purpose into everything they do, which they hope to see mirrored in the individual they hire. Mindset is everything!

SCHEDULE
Full time, Monday – Friday
• Exact schedule TBD, but between 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM, totaling 55 - 60 hours per week depending on what the candidate is looking for.
• Guaranteed hours: 55 - 60/week
• Start date: January/February 2025
• Duration: A minimum 2 year commitment for consistency

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fostering Child Development:
• Engage the children in activities that promote a love of learning and emotional intelligence.
• Encourage curiosity, open-mindedness, and the ability to manage challenges independently.
• Support the parents’ approach of “supported struggle,” allowing children to work through challenges before offering assistance.
Infant and Childcare:
• Primary care for baby as mom will be returning to work, but continuing to nurse. Care for the older kids before school/school drop off and in the evenings if duties need to split between the live-in and the PT afternoon nanny.
• Provide attentive and nurturing care to the baby, requiring significant experience with newborns and infants.
• Aiding baby in meeting milestones through developmentally appropriate activities at home, and eventually in the community.
• Spend time with the older children engaging in playtime, puzzles, crafts, reading, imaginative narration, and dress-up.
• Drive children to and from school, camps, and extracurricular activities as needed, however this will typically be covered by the afternoon nanny.
Cooking and Meal Preparation:
• Prepare simple family dinners daily (nanny included) as well as a simple breakfast and packed lunch for the children.
• Emphasize healthy, child-friendly options. They eat a simple, whole-food based diet.
Daily Routine & Structure:
• Maintain and reinforce the structured routine that is essential to the family’s day-to-day life.
• Weave family manners and positive behaviors into everyday conversations.
• Set boundaries and communicate calmly and effectively with the children.
• Remain adaptable through big transitions and new schedules.
Other duties:
• Organize children’s and common household spaces, manage their laundry, build grocery list, and ensure dinner clean-up and tidying around the home.
• Be proactive with tasks and time management, adapting to schedule changes, especially as mom transitions out of maternity leave.
• Collaborate with a separate afternoon nanny who will handle errands and manage the older children in the afternoons.
• Communicate with outside services who may be working in the home while on duty or accept a delivery.
• Proactive and intuitive with additional child- and home-related tasks when time allows that will take responsibilities off the parents and improve the overall well-being of the family.
• Travel with the family occasionally throughout the year and provide overnight care at home if the parents are both traveling without the children (infrequent).
• Be mindful of G4 and BNB’s genetic condition that can cause dizziness, disorientation or losing balance, which the parent’s will go further into detail about.

ABOUT THE CHILDREN:
B5 is athletic, creative, and innovative. He is in Kindergarten and getting involved in some afterschool sports. He loves to build with Legos and Magnatiles and channel his energy into soccer, baseball, and tennis.

G4 loves to sing and dance. Where big brother tends to need to warm up to new ideas, she is very go with the flow. She is in a full-day Montessori school.

BNB is 4 months old and a sweet baby. He is a great eater and sleeper.

Live-In Accommodations:
• The family is open to a local candidate who could live-in during the week and return to their home on the weekends OR live-in full time.
• Private bedroom suite inside the main residence will be provided, which includes a bathroom and area to relax privately.
• The family views this position as an extension of their family and their nanny will have full access to shared common spaces (kitchen, family living room, gym) always.
• The family will provide a vehicle for the nanny to use for work and personal purposes.
• The position cannot accommodate pets.

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 4 years of professional nanny experience with ages toddler – early elementary.

• Flexible in times of emergency

COMPENSATION
• Annualized income of approximately $90,000 gross
• Health insurance stipend: Offered

• All living expenses covered by the family
