Pets: 1 sleepy, friendly elderly dog

This driven couple are passing down their highly motivational genes to their (almost) 2 year old daughter who is bright, busy, and loves to stay stimulated and learn! Living in Hendersonville has given them some space to breathe and spread out. Dad is often traveling for work and mom is a creative director, so they’re looking for an exceptional nanny/family assistant to pour into their daughter while mom works, and also help with some household tasks when she’s napping.

SCHEDULE
Tuesday – Thursday 11 AM – 5 PM or 10 AM - 6 PM(18 - 24 hours guaranteed)
Start date: ASAP/OCTOBER 2024
Duration: Ideally a 1 year commitment, could grow with someone and potentially turn into full time if desirable

About the Family
These parents are overjoyed with their smart and sweet little girl. Mom cherishes every moment she spends with G1.5 and will continue to be a big part of her daughter’s day. She needs the support of the nanny/family assistant during work hours to care for G2 while mom works or to handle tidying up and organizational tasks when mom is spending time with G2. Dad frequently travels on weekends for work and is also in and out throughout the weekdays. With their unconventional jobs and lifestyle, it's crucial for them to bond with the individual they hire and all feel very comfortable together. As intentional promoters of a positive lifestyle, they hope to mesh with someone who shares a similar enthusiasm for this mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Enriching Activities: Provide engaging playtime activities to promote G2’s development. She is incredibly bright and curious, already knowing her ABCs, counting, and other advanced cognitive skills. Following a Montessori-inspired approach is preferred, as it values independence, hands-on learning, and respect for her natural development. Activities should be child-centered, allowing G2 to explore and learn at her own pace.
• Positive Reinforcement: Encourage good behavior through praise and rewards, focusing on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This helps build her self-esteem and promotes a positive learning environment.
• Respectful Parenting: Emphasize treating G2 with respect and understanding, recognizing her feelings, and responding with empathy. This approach fosters trust and emotional security.
• Collaboration with Mom/family: Work in tandem with Mom, who will be involved throughout the day, and easily switch between childcare and family assisting tasks. Dad will also be involved when not traveling for work, and grandma or extended family is often over too.
• Household Assistance: Assist with folding clean laundry, tidying up after meals, keeping common areas tidy, maintaining the organization of toys and G2’s items, and other light household chores.
• Proactive Planning: Be proactive in planning home-based activities for the child and taking initiative with organizational or other helpful home-related tasks.
• Consistency and Adaptability: Maintain the family’s schedule for playtime, naptime, and screentime allowances, while also being flexible given their dynamic lifestyle.
• Making Efficient use of time: The candidate will be provided a 30 minute lunch break once G2 goes down, but is expected to keep busy with work related tasks for the remaining 1.5 hours of nap time whether that be with home-related tasks, setting up activities for afternoon play, or researching/planning future crafts or activities.


REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of professional nanny experience
- 3 years of professional experience with age 1.5 and up
- Experience with newborns would be a plus as the family may expand in the near future
- Professional experience with completing household tasks
- Comfortable signing an NDA
- Comfortable around dogs
- Extremely discrete and private
- Non smoker/vaper

Driving is not required, mom will join on any outings to the park or playground.

This position could involve travel for 2-3 days at a time up to 2-3 times per year, it is preferred that someone could travel, but not required to be eligible for consideration

COMPENSATION
Hourly: $30 - $35/hr gross
PTO, Paid holidays, sick days: offered
