THE DETAILS
This growing family is looking for a nanny with the biggest heart to join them in the next chapter of their lives as a family of 4! They just welcomed their little girl in late October, promoting their 2 year old to big brother status. This new chapter is new for everyone as their tiny blessing has Down Syndrome. Navigating this will be a new adventure and mom will need a true partner to help her, especially once dad is in spring training in early 2025 and playing out of state as a professional athlete from March – October. Soon enough, the family will join dad as much as they can, and their Nanny/FA will join in the adventurous lifestyle as well.
The family is very close-knit and values spending time together, fueling their bodies with natural & wholesome foods (they have a cow and chickens!), prioritizing their Christian faith above anything else, and having the highest integrity in all parts of their life. Mom is an OCD planner, but this year is a little unpredictable with not knowing exactly what their little girl will need.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare meals and snacks for B2, bottle prep for GNB as-needed.
• Assist with child-related tasks (bathing, organizing toys, packing B2 for MDO, keeping areas tidy, etc).
• Play with and monitor the children indoors and outdoors (yard, park, and activities) and facilitate activities outside of the home or playdates.
• Support homeschooling activities when needed, they have a Montessori inspired style of play and learning time which includes lots of independence.
• Manage children’s laundry, dishes, and basic household chores (dishwasher, counters, trash).
• Run errands, keep an eye on household essentials, and assist mom with anything home or family related that comes up.
• No screen time allowed; the family believes true connection and fostering relationships happens screen-free.
• Travel with the family; year one will not have as much travel, future years will be more travel heavy during baseball season (March/April – October/November).
KEY QUALITIES:
• Accepting of disabilities; no prior experience is needed, but a big, patient heart for both baby and mama is.
• Flexible with a fluid schedule (especially around baseball season).

• Supports the family’s strong faith-centered values.
• Align with a gentle, but firm and authoritative parenting approach that has a foundation of giving and teaching respect.

• Comfortable with maintaining a health-conscious diet for the family.
• Treats the family environment as their own, sharing meals and participating in family life.
• Acts as a supportive, extra pair of hands, especially while one parent is frequently away.
• Has a sense of humor and comfortable in a home of jokesters
• Professional and mindful public presentation – the family is in the media a lot
• Unmatched work ethic: Instill perseverance and resilience in the children. Never give up on a task, even when frustrated—take breaks if needed but always work toward a solution.
