Saturday: Either an AM shift (i.e. 9am – 1pmish) or a PM shift (i.e. 2pm – 10pm)
Sunday: occasional needs on Sundays, with notice
Flexibility: This family is very flexible with the schedule and would be seeking that in return. Mom is a single parent now and does not have a community here, so is counting on the right fit being a bit malleable with the schedule.
Start date: Anytime between Oct – Dec 2024
Duration: minimum 8 months (through 6/30/24) but open to long term 1+ years

A tight knit family who relocated here from the west coast is finding their footing and in their new home and mom is looking for a partner to handle the afterschool and occasional weekend hustle of three active kids! G10 is a girly girl who dances 5-6 days a week. B7 is wise beyond his years and B5 is the life of the party! They all have evening activities that spill into the weekend, as this widowed mother needs a second person to make sure they are all where they need to be. They love to spend time together as a family, and strongly value love, respect and manners. They kids are gaining lots of independence and do so much for themselves as they are getting older, but an essential team member will be key to this family’s daily success!


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assisting with the after school routine most weekdays and driving the kids to/from appointments or extracurriculars.
2. Homework monitoring and supervising the kid’s time with their tutor
3. Helping to keep the home organized and tidy, and assisting with the kid’s laundry
4. Collaborating with mom on parenting goals and offering empathy, support, and encouragement to remain accountable for their responsibilities or chores.
5. Practicing patience and learning each child and what their love language is. The kids lost their dad 3 years ago and need a lot of love and tenderness, while also setting boundaries.
6. Assisting with meals and snacks for the kids.
7. Helping mom with end of day routines such as cleaning up after dinner or helping get the kids ready for bed.
8. Comfortability around two friendly dogs, one large and one small, who will need to be let outside a few times a day.
9. Monitoring B7’s food allergies.
10. Confidence with three kids who are all at different stages and the ability to connect with an active young boy, a wise love-bug boy, and pre-teen girly girl.
11. A mindset that focuses on evolving and supporting the family and the flexibility to help around the house with one-off tasks or things that may come up


REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of professional nanny experience
- Prior nanny experience with 3 children
- Professional experience with ages 5 - 10+
- Comfort with dogs
- Comfortable monitoring swimming
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record (family will provide a vehicle to use for work)
- Flexibility with tasks and schedule
- Genuine passion for working with children and helping families thrive


Preferences
- Professional experience with, or strong understanding of, loss of a parent
- Experience with food allergies (only Benedryl has been needed for reactions so far.)
- Ability to travel for up to 2-3 weeks per year on family vacations

COMPENSATION

Hourly: $25 - $30/hr depending on qualifications
PTO, Paid Sick Time, Paid Holidays: offered
Health insurance stipend: negotiable
