Location: Green Hills, 37215

This returning SSN client is looking for a Family Assistant who will focus the first part of their afternoon on household tasks and the second part of the afternoon with G11and B4 once they’re out of school for the day. They have a well-oiled machine as they have been doing this for the past 8 years and know their needs very well. Both mom and dad work very full time, demanding jobs and are appreciative of someone who can help their home stay tidy and stocked and their kids be happy and well cared for.

SCHEDULE
Hours: Monday – Friday 12:00 – 8:00 PM *could end at 7:15 or 7:30 most nights if needed
Guaranteed hours: 35-40/week
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Long term, they would love someone 1+ years

ABOUT THE KIDS: The children are very much routine-oriented and are familiar with having a caregiver. G11 is creative, artsy and active. She skates at centennial afterschool and loves someone who will chit chat with her or play games. B4 loves to be outside digging or playing trucks, he’s an active, busy boy who needs a little more wrangling than his big sister. They both go to school in the same area so it’s a pretty easy afterschool pick up. Some evenings there may be an activity to drive one of them to, but for the most part the afternoons might involve a playground stop before heading home to make them both dinner and get their youngest to bed before mom and dad take over. Connection is big with these kids and the family’s hope is to find someone who makes it a priority to really play and engage with the kids.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide attentive care for G11 and B4 and engage in creative and active play, including outdoor activities like gymnastics and pretend play.
• Drive children to activities, as needed, and plan kid-related outings when appropriate.
• Prepare and serve dinner for the children.
• Manage evening routines, including getting the youngest ready and into bed nightly.
• Prioritize connection by engaging deeply with the children and helping them practice independence and responsibility.
• Run errands as needed including grocery runs, returns, picking up items.
• Perform household laundry (kid, parent, linens)
• Maintain tidiness including straightening up, cleaning surfaces, and decluttering.
• Handle dinner prep and cooking for the children daily.
• Maintain initiative and work proactively without daily reminders.
• Use personal car for errands and transporting children (reimbursed for mileage).


REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of professional Nanny or FA experience
- Safe, reliable vehicle to use for work purposes
- Desire to work in a role with both FA/cleaning tasks and childcare
- Clean driving record and background check
- Valid driver’s license
- Non smoker/vaper
- Has a pitch in mentality and a strong work ethic
- Can make a minimum 1 year commitment
- Reliable and not prone to calling out often


COMPENSATION
Rate: $28 - $31/hour gross
PTO, Paid Holidays, Sick days: offered
Health insurance stipend: negotiable
